1
00:00:08.279 --> 00:00:14.679
The politics of the popular fronts.
The consequences of the strategy of social radicalization,

2
00:00:14.720 --> 00:00:19.719
which we know as popular fronts,
are always negative. It is true

3
00:00:19.760 --> 00:00:24.039
that its promoters can achieve the desired
result in the short term, but they

4
00:00:24.079 --> 00:00:27.760
do nothing but postpone the problem.
Of course, these fronts are full of

5
00:00:27.839 --> 00:00:33.439
radical anti- systems that are very
dangerous for coexistence and democracy. In many

6
00:00:33.479 --> 00:00:37.640
cases there are demagogues such as Melenchhon, who are the Trojan horse, conscious

7
00:00:37.640 --> 00:00:42.240
or unconscious of communism that has bleached
on the media left and his fellow travelers

8
00:00:42.439 --> 00:00:45.759
among the intellectuals. It is something
we have seen in the twentieth century,

9
00:00:45.920 --> 00:00:51.000
but we can go back to the
Roman Republic to see the existence of dangerous

10
00:00:51.039 --> 00:00:54.679
populists who base their discourse on hatred. Another example, in addition to the

11
00:00:54.759 --> 00:00:59.320
Soviet Union and its satellite countries,
is found in the French Revolution and the

12
00:00:59.320 --> 00:01:03.960
monstrosities that are eaten in the name
of equality, freedom and fraternity. I

13
00:01:03.040 --> 00:01:08.519
have never shared the absurd idealization of
this period, as is the case with

14
00:01:08.560 --> 00:01:12.400
similarities in which the worst of human
beings arose. Nothing good can be expected

15
00:01:12.439 --> 00:01:17.079
from the radical left, but neither
from the ultra- right. Unfortunately,

16
00:01:17.120 --> 00:01:21.920
we find many examples of political extremism
in France of freedom and democracy, from

17
00:01:21.959 --> 00:01:27.400
the triumph of the Revolution to the
present day. Of course, we can

18
00:01:27.439 --> 00:01:32.480
turn in another order of things to
the barbarities committed by the European powers with

19
00:01:32.599 --> 00:01:37.000
their colonial empires. It is good
to emphasize the notable differences with what they

20
00:01:37.040 --> 00:01:41.200
did in Spain and Portugal, although
some excesses and errors were made. We

21
00:01:41.239 --> 00:01:45.840
must ignore the idealization of pre-
Columbian America as a result of absolute ignorance,

22
00:01:45.959 --> 00:01:49.640
or the nonsense of the decolonization of
museums, which promotes urtasum as a

23
00:01:49.680 --> 00:01:53.439
result of its inconsistent knowledge of history. It' s something that' s

24
00:01:53.439 --> 00:01:57.040
solved by reading. Europe has a
serious problem with the radicalisation of both signs,

25
00:01:57.400 --> 00:02:01.640
as has been shown in France.
Although strambithic analyses have been carried out,

26
00:02:02.040 --> 00:02:07.319
instead of addressing the problems that cause
the disaffection, they have preferred to

27
00:02:07.359 --> 00:02:10.000
re- edit the popular fronts,
in the French case as a platform and

28
00:02:10.039 --> 00:02:15.520
in Spain, with Sanchismo, disqualifying
all those who do not accept their sectarian

29
00:02:15.560 --> 00:02:19.680
policies and successions to independence. The
European Union has been left without leaders who

30
00:02:19.719 --> 00:02:24.439
have the political height and vision of
the future that their founders had.
