Apesar de la artificiosa euforia del PSOE y las declaraciones grandilocuentes de Sánchez, la realidad es que el resultado de las elecciones catalanas abre una etapa de fuertes tensiones e incertidumbre sobre la estabilidad de su gobierno de coalición. El análisis del resultado permite constatar una obviedad y es que no se movilizó el electorado nacionalista. La participación fue de un 57,96% que es la cuarta más baja de la serie histórica, superando solo el 56% de 2006, el 54% de 1992 y el 51,3% de 2021. El PSC ganó las elecciones, pero con un 28% que no parece que sea un extraordinario mandato de los catalanes.
