En este sentido, hay que recordar que no le otorga un poder omnímodo, ya que se aplica el principio de que solo puede ejercer aquellas competencias recogidas en el texto constitucional. La izquierda política y mediática asume, desgraciadamente, el relato falaz de los independentistas. Por ello, Sánchez deslegitima al Poder Judicial cuestionando que hubiera actuado correctamente y va en contra de sus propios actos, cuando apoyó la aplicación del artículo 155 de la Constitución, y declaraciones, al asegurar que había sido una rebelión, que la amnistía era inconstitucional y se comprometió a entregar a Puigdemont al Supremo para que fuera juzgado por los graves delitos que había cometido.
